106 years ago at 11 am on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Great War known as World War I ended in an Armistice agreement signed in a railroad car in France.

The war was so shocking and harmful that it was declared “The War to End all Wars.”

On Remembrance Day, November 11,  we make time to honour military personnel, many of whom lost their lives in service to our country.

We give thanks for the sacrifices made by service people and their families.

We pay our respects. We honour their willingness to risk their lives.

We give thanks, and we hold space for peace.

Join us on Sunday for our annual Remembrance Day service.
