The world we envision
We are an ever-evolving spiritual community. We embody love, compassion, wisdom, and joy, and hold a vision of a world flourishing in peace, abundance, and harmony.
What we do to move toward that world
Our mission is to create an inclusive, evolving spiritual community in New Westminster where people explore practical spirituality, discover potential, build meaningful connections, and learn to put spiritual principles into action, in our lives, our community, and the world.
At Unity of New Westminster, we are curious about life, consciousness, and what might be possible.
We explore practical spiritual ideas and consider how the thoughts and beliefs we hold shape the way we experience our lives.
We bring our questions, our experiences, our beliefs — and our uncertainty. Conversation, reflection, music, laughter, creativity, and new ideas all have a place here.
We draw wisdom from many spiritual traditions as we think, question, explore, and discover together.
And we don't want those ideas to stay inside the church. We look for ways to put them into practice — in our own lives, in our relationships, in our community, and in the world.
Because an idea isn't where the journey ends. It's where something new begins.
Unity is a positive, practical spiritual movement that explores the relationship between consciousness, belief, and experience.
Drawing inspiration from the teachings of Jesus and wisdom found across many spiritual traditions, Unity encourages us to think for ourselves, explore life's deeper questions, and discover practical spiritual principles that can be applied in everyday life.
Through positive prayer, spiritual practice, and community, Unity encourages us to move beyond inspiration and put spiritual principles into action in our daily lives.
At Unity of New Westminster, we believe spiritual growth naturally finds expression in compassionate action.
Together, we create opportunities to strengthen our community through volunteerism, education, environmental awareness, meaningful conversations, and partnerships.
As we expand our awareness of ourselves, one another, and the world around us, we look for practical ways to turn that awareness into action.
What we hold in consciousness becomes what we create together.
